Here’s a great tutorial on creating a unique Twitter background for your Twitter account.
Chris Spooner, the creator of the tutorial, says the advantages creating such a background are to set your Twitter account apart from other users and to brand your social media marketing efforts.
Sooner gives three examples of typical background graphics appearing on Twitter:
- repeating pattern
- background fading to color
- extra large graphic
One drawback to the extra large graphic is not only file size, but in larger screen resolutions the graphic will become cut off at some point.
Spooner includes a tutorial on how to create a background image and includes a Photoshop Template to help you create your Twitter Theme in popular resolutions.
I used the Twitter template last night to create a background for my Twitter account. Thanks Chris!
