Employment and housing programs offered today by the Buffalo Urban League

Whether you are a job seeker, looking to avoid foreclosure or need help in other areas of your life, the Buffalo Urban League might be able to help you. Find out more about the programs offered by the Buffalo Urban League at their open house 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at 15 Genesee Street near the corner of Main and Huron where Genesee Street ends.

The public is invited to learn about the many free programs the Buffalo Urban League offers including a resume and job search workshop. The workshop on this topic will be held from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. today at the Buffalo Urban League main office.

In addition to employment-related workshops, the Buffalo Urban League has employment partnerships with several area companies including Kaleida Health, Pepsi, Home Depot, Cingular wireless, AT&T, Lowes and Home Depot. Many of these businesses make presentations at the Buffalo Urban League on job opportunities currently available in their company. Stop by the Buffalo Urban League to find out about the next scheduled presentation.

Also being held today is a foreclosure prevention workshop at 5:30 p.m. at the Merriweather Branch Library at 1324 Jefferson Ave., Buffalo.
