Learn how to use the three most popular social media networks to grow your business at the free Social Media Networking Seminar, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 at the Conference and Event Center in Niagara Falls, N.Y.
The free seminar, which is open to the public and sponsored by Niagara Falls New York Chamber of Commerce, will focus on using LinkedIN, Facebook and Twitter for business. Speakers for the event are taking questions ahead of time on the event’s Facebook page.
“How can one build a massive following and promote his/her business on Facebook without coming across as salesy?” asked Scott Stockton, the president of YOU. Only Better. a Christian coaching, training and consulting organization in Amherst. “Also, would the approach be the same for young adult consumers as it would be for adult prospective clients?”
“You need to become a resource for your prospective clients no matter the age,” said Colleen Kulikowski, one of the seminar’s speakers and Managing Partner at Best Buffalo Homes.
“Fan pages are a great way to provide information to people that you want to work with. Social media is a way for the consumer to see what you are about and assist them in making the decision to either work with you or not.”
“In order to build a tremendous following, you have to give and be a resource to the community. This will create word of mouth and natural following as opposed to just having anyone follow you. I would rather have a small group of follower that are raving fans than a huge following that I do not interact.”
“It is a great opportunity to network and learn more about promoting your business through social media networks,” someone from the Niagara Falls NY Chamber of Commerce posted via the chamber’s Facebook profile on the event page.
Refreshments and a social mixer will be held before the presentations.
